Ian is a professional golfer with a long and distinguished career. He has been a regular visitor to Europe since the 1970’s, winning the Martini International in 1975. Most of his victories were achieved on the Australian Tour where he won more than 20 times, plus representing Australia in two World Cups. Ian worked as a television commentator with Fox Sports before joining the European Seniors Tour in 1999, then gaining number one ranking in 2001, by winning both the British Senior PGA Championship and the British Senior Open.
Ian joined Thomson Perrett in 2004 as a consultant to advise on course strategy and assist with supervision of the fine finishing of the golf features on our courses. He has worked on two projects in China, one at Tianjin Fortune Lakes, the other in Beidaihe, including site supervision. In Australia, Ian has worked on many projects including Sandhurst Champions, Ballarat, Silverwoods and Beveridge.
