CONSULTING GOLF - Golf Course Design

Early in her career Lyne Morrison developed valuable skills in the process of golf course design and construction with Belt Collins, Nelson & Wright Golf Course Architects and later Nelson & Haworth. From bases in Sydney, Honolulu and Singapore, Lyne travelled extensively developing experience on a range of projects situated throughout Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

In recent years Lyne has focused her attention on regional golf through her practice Consulting Golf. She is a committed to discovering and delivering quality design solutions that engage and energise all golfers. Consulting Golf aims to provide clients with an architecture that responds to the landscape, climate and community.

 Golf is a game of friendship and camaraderie – it brings people together. In an era with an emphasis on youthful pros, course length and the virtues of technology, Consulting Golf advocates traditional design values. Golf courses are a key resource in our communities - they should provide an enjoyable challenge for the majority of players, not just the highly skilled.

Lyne’s love of the game grew out of junior golf from where she became increasingly intrigued by the make up of courses, preferring to absorb their varied elements and features rather than work on her putting. A regular club golfer and pennant player, Lyne holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Canberra.
